ОSightseeing in Kathmandu Valley: Swayambudhnat, Kathmandu Durbar, AsanTol, Garden of Dreams.
Swayambhudnat is a large Buddhist complex located on the monkey hill. Below at the foot is the Buddha Park. At the very top is the Swayambhu stupa (translated as “self-arisen”), two Hindu shikhara temples built during the Malla dynasty and other temples and monasteries. From the top of the hill offers a charming view of the valley of Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Durbar Square (Palace Square) consists of two parts: Hanuman Dhoka Square and Basantapur Square. The oldest temples, the Royal Palace, sculptures — UNESCO treasury!
AsanTol Square is located on the old caravan route, passing through the Kathmandu Valley (Diagonal Bazaar).
The amazingly beautiful Garden of Dreams was built at the end of the 19th century by the Prime Minister of Nepal, Jang Bahadur Rana, for one of his sons. An amazing combination of European and Asian architecture is still impressive seekers of beauty.
